Bacon’s new book “Endzone: The Rise, Fall & Return Of Michigan Football” one of the more intriguing characters in the book is a guy know as “Beav,” check out the latest show to hear Beav’s story and contributions to the effort to get Jim Harbaugh to Michigan.  Beav (Al Flannelly) also give some great behind the scense info on the recruitment and return of Harbaugh to Ann Arbor.

2016 4-Star WR Ahmir Mitchell Commits To Michigan Over Ohio State

According to ChatSports

In one of many head-to-head recruiting battles to come between new Michigan football head coach Jim Harbaugh and Ohio State football HC Urban Meyer, Harbaugh has claimed a victory by securing the pledge of coveted 2016 four-star Egg Harbor Harbor (NJ) Cedar Creek wide receiver Ahmir Mitchell.

The 6-foot-3, 206-pound prospect has long been considered a heavy Michigan lean.

If that’s true, perhaps this wasn’t as much of a “head-to-head” recruiting war as it was billed to be. Regardless, Michigan has gotten their man — a dynamic inside/outside threat who boasts great accelaration out of his breaks and the pure strength to shake off would-be tacklers in the open field. He joins 2016 four-star Camden (NJ) wideout Brad Hawkins as one of Michigan’s two marquee WR gets this recruiting cycle.

More Drivel From Sparty About Dantonio!

Yesterday a Fox Sports Analyst and former QB Colorado QB Joel Klatt argued that Jim Harbaugh is already the best Head Coach in the B1G.  He based it on his success at every level, including his trip to the Super Bowl with the SF 49ers.  Listen to his interview here.

Today we get a retort from the bastion on objectivity, “The Only Colors” blog.  The article claims the best coach in the B1G is Urban Meyer and number two is none other than Mark Dantonio, Harbaugh is third.  Check out the passage on Harbaugh and how this guy attempts to belittle Harbaugh’s accomplishments at Stanford and SF.  He literally claims Harbaugh “ran into” Andrew Luck at Stanford and inherited the leagues best defense in his first year at Stanford.  How about he “recruited” and convinced Luck to go to a team that was 1-11!!!  Here is a screen shot, you can check out the rest of the article here.  It’s dumb pieces like this that prove we can’t have nice things.

If you need any proof as to this guys objectivity, take a look at this profile.  This guy is feeding this drivel to Sparty and they are buying it. LOL

Let me see, should I take Joel Klatt’s word for it or some MSU slap licking a Sparty bell?  Nice was on women too ass-hat. Esh, fanboi’s.

Michigan fans already know this but Fox Sports Analyst had this to say about Michigan after watching practice this week.

“Brady Hoke underachieved to an enormous level with the talent that he had,” Klatt said on the Rich Eisen Show today. “When I went yesterday, I was pleasantly surprised to see the type of talent that they have, the physicality they have on the offensive line. They need to get better on the defensive line. Their defense last year was seventh in the country in total defense and now you’re going to take them and put them in a situation where they’re going to see less snaps because the offense moves at a slower tempo. That’s going to help their defense improve.

“I don’t think nine wins is out of the question. I could see nine wins.”

This isn’t breaking news, but it is interesting to hear it from somebody who doesn’t have a dog in the hunt, it is clear that Hoke couldn’t coach at the highest level, he was obviously over-matched and had no clue how to get the most out of his talent.  Michigan fans, at some level, believed that Michigan had talent.  Many of the players Hoke recruited were also coveted by more successful programs.  At one point he was on track to score the top class in 2015, but as the season dissolved, many decommitted.  You could also see the regression of Carr and Rich Rod players during Hoke’s tenure. The most damning indictment of Hoke’s ability as a Head Coach was his refusal to put on a headset, it made it pretty clear he was detached on game day and was no more than a carnival barker for the Michigan program.  I know some will not like this because Hoke is universally liked by most in Ann Arbor but the man was a failure on the big stage and now others are seeing it too.

AUDIO: FOX Sports Analyst Says Jim Harbaugh Is Already The Best Coach In College Football

FOX Sports college football analyst Joel Klatt joins Bruce Feldman and Stewart Mandel on a new episode of The Audible.  One of the topics covered by the podcast is Jim Harbaugh, who Joel Klatt believes is already the best coach in college football.  He also claims Harbaugh will build a powerhouse at Michigan that NOBODY wants to play!

Michigan Practice Rumors, Speculation & Innuendo!

It isn’t great for the QB position.  My sources tell me that none of the QB’s for Michigan are setting the world on fire. While Shane Morris has improved his approach, he isn’t killing it in practice.  There is a long way to go, but it appears that Jake Rudock is getting and taking advantage of his opportunities, neither is separating himself after one week in camp.  I’m told the bar has been set high but none of the QB are taking control of the race at this point.

I was told Shane is “Shane,” inconsistent and not ready to take a hold of the while the Iowa transfer, Rudock is “ok.”  It changes daily.

Some in camp are speculating there will be “QB attrition” as Speight and Morris attempt to figure out where they stand in the hierarchy, expect to see one or two of the QB’s transfer.

The running back competition is fierce between Issac, Green and Smith, but none of them are pulling ahead of the other, they are all talented but not one is making the case for the number one job.

The offensive line is looking good, Cole is the standout and I’m told the others are all improved and ready to play man ball in 2015.

The TE position group is impressing to the coaches.

I heard, but have not seen that Sam Webb is reporting there is “massive” experimentation going on in the secondary.  I have no clue what this means right now, but i’ll try to gain some clarity this week.

Michigan Road Uniforms Revealed?

Michigan has revealed the road uniforms they will wear on September 3rd at Utah.

They are all white, including the pants.  Not sure about the white pants look, but Harbaugh apparently wants the 1974 look.

I’m not a fan of the white pants.
